Most people book laser tag for the first time with one quiet worry: that everyone else will know what they are doing. They will not. Almost nobody in the arena has played more than a handful of times, and the whole thing is designed to be understood in about ninety seconds. Here is what a session at Putt House actually looks like, so you can walk in already knowing.
Before you go in
You check in, and the group gets a short briefing. Someone explains how the vest works, how to tag another player, and what the lights on your vest mean. That is genuinely all the rules there are. There is no skill test and no minimum fitness level. Wear shoes you can move in and leave the bags at the counter.
One thing worth knowing before you book: laser tag needs a minimum of 4 players on weekdays and 6 on weekends. If your group is smaller than that, you can still play, you just may be put in with another group.
The 20 minutes
A session runs 20 minutes. The arena is industrial themed with a mezzanine level above and cover on almost every sightline, which matters more than aim: the players who do well are the ones who keep moving and use the walls, not the ones with the steadiest hand.
- Vest on, blaster charged, lights down.
- Up to 16 players per battle, split into teams.
- Tag an opposing vest to score. Get tagged and you are out for a few seconds, then back in.
- Scores are tracked automatically, so nobody has to keep count.
Twenty minutes sounds short on paper. In the arena it is not. Most groups come out genuinely out of breath and immediately start arguing about a rematch.
What it costs and how to book
Laser tag is ₹449 per player per session. If you think you will want a second go, or you want to make an evening of it, a combo with mini golf works out cheaper than booking the two separately.
